Abstract:
During the Yan'an period, the Communist Party of China's book publishing community primarily consisted of three groups: editors, printers, and distributors. Through externally-led activities such as lectures, school education, self-organized political and cultural studies, skill training, and production competitions that integrated revolutionary ideals with practical production, the CPC transformed the book publishing group from "professional publishers" to "professional revolutionaries." As a publishing community with both revolutionary and professional qualities, they turned publishing activities into a powerful weapon for revolutionary propaganda and mobilization, built an important front for cultural propaganda during the revolutionary period, and became the backbone of the country's publishing industry after the founding of the People's Republic of China. The professional spirit they demonstrated, centered on political consciousness, reform and innovation, and collaborative dedication, has also become the inherent soul of the Party's publishing cause.
