Abstract: As the national standard for the bibliographic references and citations to information resources, GB/T 7714—2025 Information and documentation—Rules for bibliographic references and citations to information resources was officially released in 2025 and will replace the GB/T 7714—2015 version in 2026. By analyzing and commenting on the revision of GB/T 7714—2025 and combining with the actual situation of the academic environment, it can be found that GB/T 7714—2025 is advanced in terms of outline, elements, reference types and so on, and it is more logical and more suitable for the needs of the times. In the future, GB/T 7714 can be further optimized in terms of refining elements, improving and supplementing reference types, improving details and doubts, and correcting technical defects.
